💃 elSol BACHATA Social Competition 2026 Independent Competition powered by Bachata Social World Cup! Starting with this edition, the elSol BACHATA competition will be organized in collaboration with the Bachata Social World Cup as an Independent Competition, using their official Digital Competition Hub for registrations, competitor management, judging, and results. This is an independently organized competition (not a qualifying event for the World Cup Finals) that follows international standards of transparency, fairness, and professional social dance evaluation supported by the BSWC ecosystem. A Jack & Jill–style competition focused on authentic social dancing, musicality, connection, and partner experience. 📅 Event Details Festival: elSol BACHATA 2026 Date of Competition: Saturday, April 11, 2026 (TBA) Registration deadline: April 9, 2026 👉 DIVISIONS The competition includes two divisions: Amateur Division For participants who are not professionally paid for dancing or teaching Bachata. Professional Division For participants who receive payment for dancing and/or teaching Bachata. Participants are expected to register in the division that best reflects their current professional status. The organizers reserve the right to review placements and move participants between divisions if necessary to ensure fairness. 👉 Official registration: ⚠️ IMPORTANT — Registration Requirements All participants must register through the official BSWC platform. During registration you must: ✔️ Create your personal competitor profile ✔️ Upload a clear profile photo ✔️ Complete all required information Your photo is mandatory and will be used for: identification during the competition competitor management within the system official participant listings custom event overlays that you can share on social media to show you are competing Incomplete profiles (especially without a photo) may not be accepted. 🧩 Competition Format The competition follows a Jack & Jill–inspired social dance format with randomly assigned partners. Depending on the number of participants in each role, the event may include Preliminary Round, Semi-Finals, and Finals. All rounds will take place during one day of the festival. The exact structure, number of heats, and progression will be determined by the organizers to ensure a fair, efficient, and enjoyable competition experience. The format is designed to evaluate individual social dancing skills, musicality, adaptability with different partners, and the ability to create a comfortable and enjoyable social dance experience. 🧠 Judging Each dancer will be evaluated individually in their role as Leader or Follower. Judging focuses on the overall quality of social dancing, including technique, musical interpretation, connection, communication, personal style, adaptability, and positive presence on the dance floor. The emphasis is on authentic social dancing rather than performance or choreography.
