Qualifier Eligibility

Know where you can compete and how national allocations work for the 2025–2026 season.

Can I participate in a qualifier hosted outside my home country?

Yes. Dancers can register for any published qualifier regardless of nationality or country of residence. Choose the city that best matches your travel plans and timeline - the spots are open to the global community.

How many qualifiers are permitted per country?

For the 2025–2026 cycle we approve one qualifier per country, with two exceptions: Spain and Germany may host an additional event due to community size and festival demand. Future seasons will be reassessed annually.

Qualification Outcomes

Understand what happens once you earn a spot and how duplicate results are handled.

What happens if I qualify more than once?

If you have already secured a World Cup Finals spot through a qualifier and place again in another event, your new spot is reassigned to the next eligible finalist. For example, imagine you secure a Finals spot by finishing third at a Intercontinental Qualifier and later win an European Qualifier. That second result still stands, but the European spot passes to the highest-ranked participant in that event's finals who has not yet qualified. If every finalist already holds a Finals spot, the extra allocation is lost.

I just qualified - what's next?

You will receive an official invitation to the Bachata Social World Cup Finals by email and inside your participant dashboard. Accept or decline directly from that message so the team can confirm the roster.

Do I have to pay the World Cup Finals registration fee again?

Yes. Finals registration is separate from qualifier fees because producing the championship - venue, staging, judging, and prize pool - requires its own budget. The finals fee helps cover those operational costs and the winner payouts.
