Hi! I’m Renata I’m 28 years old by the time of the Festival, and I have been dancing since I was 8 years old. Started with Classical ballet in Southern California where I was raised, trained contemporary, Jazz, musical theater and worked professionally by the time I was in high school- college, which is when I started teaching dance at local studios/school/theater productions. I took a break before the pandemic for a year or so and found my way to Bachata after being hired as a ballroom instructor in Arizona in 2020 and I’ve never looked back. Since then my love for Latin dance and the Latin community has grown exponentially, and even deepens my love for my own Afro/ Latin culture.
